Alpha Groups
"Alpha" is a practical introduction to the Christian Faith. Once a week for 10 weeks, in a comfortable setting, there is a talk on various Christian subjects. After each talk there is a small-group time for everyone to discuss any questions or issues they have.
Questions you may be interested in exploring are:
- What is the meaning of life?
- What happens when we die?
- What relevance does Jesus have for our lives?
- How do we deal with guilt?
Some of the topics which are included in the series of talks are:
- Who is Jesus?
- Why did Jesus die?
- Why and how should I read the Bible?
- Why and how do I pray?
- What about the Holy Spirit?
- How can I overcome evil?
- Why and How should I tell others?
- Does God heal today?
- What about the church?
The "L" in Alpha stands for Learning and Laughter. It is possible to learn about the Christian faith and have fun at the same time.
If you would like to find out where the nearest Alpha group is to you,

"For as long as I remember, through my childhood, teens and adult years, I have asked questions. One question I constantly asked myself was 'Do I believe in God?' I had no answer and it bothered me ... By the end of the third Alpha evening, I had come to a few realizations that were truly stunning for me ... I knew that Jesus died for me and that I could never 'sit the fence' again."
